Welcome to Zelda Haven! A group dedicated to all things Zelda! Please read below for our group guidelines.



Membership is open to everyone! Just click to join, or click to watch!
Art submitted to the group is subject to voting by the admins so please ensure to read the submission information.

If you would like to be a contributor and help us deal with the votes and maintainence of the group please send us a note with a little bit about yourself and why you think you would be a great asset to the team.

One requirement to be a contributor is your consistent quality of art and being active on deviantart regularly.





Submissions are currently limited to 3 deviations a day, This stops the flood of images to peoples watch lists so you are more likely to be exposed as well as speeding up the process of adding art to the galleries

▲ Please submit into the correct folder!

▲ Ensure any mature art is tagged as such!

▲ All art must be Zelda related, crossovers are fine as long as the majority of the image is Zelda.

▲All art must be your own!  

▲All mediums are allowed whatever your flare is in.


▲Submit the best art you can possibly do! Be adventurous and outgoing in your choices. We’ve all seen a picture of Zelda standing a million times so submit that picture of Tingle doing a pole vault!

▲If you don’t feel confident enough to submit just yet, add your picture to the favourites!


▼ Please do not submit traces, bases, screenshots, recolours or copies of official artwork.

▼ Ensure the art is of your best quality: Sketches, Works in Progress and doodles belong in your own gallery, we want to show the world your Best art. So ensure everything is clean, tidy and to the highest standard!

▼Do not resubmit art that has been declined once already, Our decisions on submissions will be the same the second time around.

Declined art
If your art was declined, it will be because of one of the reasons above.
If you feel in any way that the decision was unfair, send a note to the group with a link to the image you submitted and we gladly discuss it with you.
Backgrounds seem to be a major part of declines, ensure your background covers the image and is of the same quality of your image. Your image is only as strong as its weakest part, so don’t cut corners!



If you do not wish to submit to the gallery just yet! Then try submitting to the favourites first. Submitting here is still subject to the voting but it is not as strict. Art that we declined but is only a score missed due to a minor thing will be happily accepted into the favourites!




Submitting to the right gallery is really important to us, We would hate to decline beautiful art purely because it was in the wrong place.

The main galleries are self explanatory, You place your art into the folder dedicated to that game. For example: Midna will go into the Twilight Princess gallery.

We have other galleries too though! For those not so plain and simple deviations.
Below is the guide to these.

They are all still judged based on the regular submission guidelines but some may have extra criteria.




This folder is dedicated to helping people!
Are you struggling with a certain thing? Does you work always seem to get declined for the same reason? Or are you an artist who loves to help people advance their skills?

This is the place for you. This folder is here for people to submit their work to if they are looking for help and critique. By submitting in here you are asking the people of zelda have to give constructive criticism and help you in any way they can. You do not need to be a premium member for people to critique work as this can be done in regular comments.

If there is something specific that you are looking to learn, mention it in the artists comments of the deviation and we shall rally around to help.

In here also will be any tutorials that are useful! If you make tutorials, or you have some great ones that you use all the time, submit them here for all to see!

▲When submitting to this gallery an admin shall ask you what you require help with, so ensure you check your submission messages!

▼This is not a dumping group for art that does not get into the other gallery folders! This is place where you must genuinely want help, deviations will be removed from the gallery if help is refused.

This gallery is restricted to 1 deviation a week So that we can all focus on helping.

Fan Fiction and Literature

Fanfictions are accepted, but only one per month. However, fanfictions are also voted on for quality submission, perhaps more than artwork.

Fan fictions are accepted on a submission rate of 1 per month
This is due to the amount of time it takes to read and vote on a fiction.

Fan fictions must have appropriate grammar, spelling and correctly structured. And most of all be interesting and fun to read. No body wants to read a boring story about a Mary-Sue.

As with artwork, Please submit your best work, especially as they are only accepted once a month.

Cosplay

We are happy to accept your Zelda costumes here! The art rules apply as well as a few extra ones:

▲ A well tailored, finished costume.
▲ Zelda related, or the majority of the photograph is Zelda related.
▲ Original takes on Zelda costumes are accepted, but they must be easily recognisable as Zelda characters and meet all the other criteria.
▲ Costumes are voted on by the costumes, not the person wearing it. So please do not be disheartened to submit if you do not have the body-shape or appearance of the character if your outfit is amazing!

▼ Single pictures of Wigs, unfinished progress or props do not belong here (They go into Artisan Crafts).
▼Blurry or badly taken photographs will be declined. We like to be able to actually see your work!
▼Badly made costumes will be rejected. Costume making is an art like any other and rushed, unfinished costumes will be declined.

Cross universe

This folder is for artwork with cross universe images! If you have a picture of Twilight Link talking to OOT Zelda, this is the place for it! If it is not placed in here then it will be declined as with any other incorrectly submitted art.

Artisan Crafts

This folder is for anything artisan. Sculptures, jewellery , props, plushies or anything else Zelda related you crafted or created.
Please do not muddle this with the ‘all mediums’ criteria. If your art is 3D then it belongs in here.  If you are confused, throw us a note.

▼Photographs of merchandise will not be accepted here, this does not obey the ‘must be made by you’ guideline.




This folder is closed to member submissions, and only admins can put their favorite artwork from the group into it.
